    Apple

    Secondary Audio Program (SAP) Support
    If available, users can now select a live program’s primary or secondary audio language and closed captions. The selected audio option will be used for the duration of the app session. If a program does not have a selected audio option, the app will fall-back to the primary audio option.

    Spanish Language Support
    When the app is turned on it will detect the device OS (Operating System) language preference. If the language is set to Spanish, the app will launch with all the text strings translated to Spanish.

    Phone/Tablet

    Main Navigation Updated From Icons to Text on

    + iPhone & iPad: The icons have been replaced with text.
    + Apple and Android Phone and Tablet: The Main Navigation will be viewable at all times.
    + Cloud DVR: DVR has been added, creating an always visible shortcut to the Manage Recordings screen.

    Manage Recordings

    + Users can apply recording rules when setting a series recording, managing new vs re-runs, the channels and extend the recording.

    Record Button

    + Stop the recording of a scheduled, in-progress movie.
    + Cancel an upcoming scheduled recording of a movie.
    + Use this as a shortcut to access all recordings of a series or individual program.
    + Delete completely recorded movies.
    + Extend recording time for a series or individual episode recording.

    DVR Screen:

    + Recording storage meter has been added.
    + Access scheduled recording lists for upcoming series and movies.
    + The app will immediately launch the media player if you select “Play” on a recorded show or movie.
    + Manage your completed, on-going or scheduled recordings.

    Circular Guide
    The on-screen channel guide has been updated so users can quickly access the beginning or end of the channel list by pressing the up or down button (it now goes in a circle).

    The on-screen channel guide has been updated so users can quickly access the beginning or end of the channel list by pressing the up or down button (it now goes in a circle).

    Google Smart Lock
    Users have the option of safely storing their usernames and passwords in Chrome and Android TV as well as Android mobile and tablet apps using Smart Lock. This allows the user to automatically sign in using the credentials they opted to save. Users can manage saved credentials at passwords.google.com.

    Note:
    Users must have a Google account and be signed into a Google account on their Android device.
    Amazon Fire OS and Fire TV do not have access to Google Smart Lock because Google Play Services is not integrated.

    Talking Guide
    The app now supports VoiceOver / TalkBack / VoiceView making it fully compliant with the FCC’s CVAA requirement for TVs.

    How the feature works on Apple/Android/Amazon device's:

    • Channel and Program Selection - Allows the user to select channels and programs via channel up/ down, physical numeric or on screen guides and menus.
    • Display Channel/ Program Information - Allows the user to move focus state to read any text displayed within the app.
    • Playback Functions - Allows the OS to read buttons so the user can control playback functions (ex. Play, pause, rewind, fast forward, stop and record).

    How-To Enable the Talking Guide on Apple TV:

    • Go to the Home screen and select Settings
    • Select General
    • Select Accessibility
    • Select VoiceOver option to On
    • Enable "DirectTouch" (using two fingers, rotage on the Siri remote touchpad until the rotor dial displays "DirectTouch")
    • Disable "Read Screen After Delay"
    • Disable "Vertical Navigation"

    How-To Enable the Talking Guide on Android TV:

    • Go to the Home screen and select Settings
    • Select Accessibility
    • Select Talkback option to Enabled

    How-To Enable the Talking Guide on Amazon Fire TV:

    • Go to the Home screen and select Settings
    • Select Accessibility
    • Select VoiceView option to On

    Android Fixes

    • Thumbnail freezing when Fast Forwarding has been fixed
    • Voice to Text when using Search has been enabled
