Removal of Static IP on Windows 2000

  1. Single-click the Start Button in the lower left corner.

  2. Click Settings, then Network and Dial-up Connections, then double-click the Local Area Network icon. Select Properties.

  3. Under Connect Using, the Ethernet Card that you are using should be displayed.

  4. Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on the button that says Properties.

  5. This will now open the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties Box. Click on the dot that says Obtain an IP address automatically and the one that says Obtain DNS server address automatically, and click on OK, click OK again.

  6. Finally, Restart your computer and you can start using your Internet again.
